Marcie Mazzola Foundation 2nd Annual Memorial 4-Mile Run / Walk

The Marcie Mazzola Foundation will host its 2nd Annual Memorial 4 Mile Run/Walk on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Huntington YMCA, located at 60 Main Street, Huntington. Participants will traverse four miles through the beautiful streets of Huntington, while a Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under will be held on the grounds of the YMCA.  The proceeds from the event will establish YMCA Summer Camp Scholarships for underprivileged children in Huntington Township.

The Run/Walk will begin at 8:30am sharp and the Kids Fun Run will begin at 8:00am sharp at the Huntington YMCA.  Pre-registration entry fees are $20 for the Run/Walk and $5 for the Kids Fun Run. The Marcie Mazzola Foundation was established by the Mazzola Family as a tribute to Marcie who was killed in a car accident in 2002. While only 21 years old when she died, Marcie's compassionate and loving nature drew her to those who needed help, especially children.  The Foundation's mission is to continue Marcie's legacy and to specifically "help better the lives of abused and at risk children; and increase community awareness about the needs of children."
