June 5, 2009 A group of employees from the Clintrak Clinical Labeling Services business in Bohemia, New York, demonstrated their Involvement by volunteering at the Marcie Mazzola Memorial Race on April 19. Joined by their friends and family members, employees volunteered as course marshals, where they helped protect the safety of the runners by monitoring the course. Additionally, Fred Haynes ran the four-mile race, held in Huntington, New York. The Marcie Mazzola Foundation was formed to help abused and at-risk children and to build community awareness regarding their needs. The annual memorial race raised $18,000 this year, with proceeds going toward scholarships for underprivileged children to attend the Huntington YMCA summer camp. "Marcie Mazzola was my husbands niece, so it means a great deal to me that Clintrak and my co-workers support me and the foundation," said Pam Jones-Nill, who is also race director."Clintrak has provided support for the foundation since its inception six years ago, and knowing that others share my concerns and are willing to support me is fantastic." Clintrak Clinical Labeling Services, part of the BioPharma Services Division, provides the healthcare industry with labeling solutions for use in global pharmaceutical trials. The site manufactures both standard single-language labeling products as well as multi-language booklet labels for drugs used in pharmaceutical trials.
