Commack Soccer League

Marcie was attending SUNY at Farmingdale and had been working at Napper Tandy's Irish Pub for several years before she died. As a tribute to Marcie, Donal Hogan owner of Napper Tandy's held a 3-hour fundraiser at his Smithtown location in July 2003. Patrons, friends and family participated in the event and an amazing $17,000.00 was raised. The Napper Tandy's event established an annual college scholarship fund for high school students.

In addition, throughout her childhood, Marcie was an avid soccer player in Commack. To fill a need, new soccer uniforms were purchased for the Commack Soccer League girl's team. Marcie's soccer jersey number was retired and is worn on the sleeve of the team's jerseys.
