$25,000 Raised for the EAC Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center

October 26, 2006

(Commack, NY)&The Marcie Mazzola Foundation hosted its Third Annual Butterfly Auction at The Westbury Manor in the Fall (2006) with a portion of the proceeds going to support the EAC Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center.  The Foundation has made a $25,000 commitment to the expansion of the Center.

The Foundation was established by the Mazzola Family as a tribute to Marcie who was killed in a car accident in 2002. While only 21 years old when she died, Marcie's compassionate and loving nature drew her to those who needed help, especially children. The Foundation's mission is to continue Marcie's commitment to children and to specifically "help better the lives of abused and at risk children, and increase community awareness about the needs of children".

The EAC Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center, located in Central Islip, is a child friendly environment where child victims of physical and/or sexual abuse are brought to be interviewed or examined.
