I would like to thank all who have supported the Marcie Mazzola Foundation. Your generosity and support has enabled the Foundation accomplish its mission to “help better the lives of abused and at-risk children; and to increase community awareness about the needs of children”. Since inception the Foundation has been quite successful and has raised more than $185,000.
The interest in the Foundation has grown tremendously so the Marcie Mazzola Foundation now hosts two annual fundraising events; the Butterfly Auction and Dinner is held in the Fall, and the 4-Mile Memorial Race is held in the Spring.
Regretfully, I need to inform you that the 4th Annual Butterfly Auction & Dinner that was scheduled for November 8, 2007 has been cancelled because my husband Paul recently underwent quintuple bi-pass surgery and is still recovering. This was a very difficult decision for Paul and me to make but a most necessary one.
Even though we won’t be able to raise funds at the Butterfly Auction & Dinner this year it is very important to continue the important work of the Foundation and to do everything we can to help children in need. In lieu of the Auction we are offering the Marcie Mazzola Foundation “Children’s Appeal” to benefit as many children as possible before year-end.
